Randy Ray “RC” Chrastil, 50, Lincoln
Journey completed Tuesday (8/17/10) at home surrounded by family and friends.
It seemed Randy’s life was too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He was the calm in every storm, a strong yet quiet and gentle family man with an unforgettable laugh and smile.
He was born November 8, 1959. He was a Southeast Knight from the class of 1978. Everyone knew him for being a hard worker. He pursued a career as a Carman for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe for nearly 30 years. He was a devoted father and loving husband.
He loved horseback riding, fishing, dancing and singing karaoke. He had a passion for horses, cars and trains, anything with power that could go fast. He was a speed junkie.
He will be greatly missed by: the love of his life Lorie Chrastil; his sons Brandon Chrastil of Charleston, SC and Nathan Chrastil of Lincoln; step-sons and wives David and Stacy Everson of Cabot, AR, Rob and KellyJo Everson of Lincoln; mother Norma Chrastil of Lincoln; sister Janet Hartman of Loveland, CO; brothers and wives Larry and JaneChrastil of Reno, NV, James and Alicia Chrastil of Lincoln; In-laws Jim and Birdie Krcmarik of Lincoln, Robyn and Jim Williams of Malcolm, NE, Mark and Carla Kcrmarik of Lincoln; two grandchildren; previous spouse Lori Johnson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of very close, dear friends from grade school to high school, work and beyond.
He was greeted in heaven by his father Edward Chrastil and all his grand parents.
