Michael Glenn McGuire, 51, passed away October 4, 2010 in Duluth, Ga. Mike was born July 2, 1959 in Lincoln, to Raymond Glenn and Bonnie (Foudray) McGuire. Mike graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1978. He was employed at Lincoln Snack Company for 17 years before making a career change to ABC Corporate Services in Omaha as a travel agent. In 1999 Mike accepted a job with a travel agency in Atlanta and eventually landed his dream job at the CNN travel department. Mike's second love, after family, was spending time on South Bend's North Lake with his grandparents. Mike enjoyed water skiing and was an avid sports enthusiast and a lifelong fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

He is survived by his wife, Penny (Resso) Robertson and step-children, Jennifer and Donald Robertson, all of Norcross, Ga; his adopted daughter, Christa McGuire of Lincoln; his mother and step-father, Bonnie and Dave Vodehnal, and his grandmother, Zina Foudray, all of South Bend, Neb; his sisters, Lora Potts and Corie Schmidt and his sister and brother-in-law Julie and Don Denton, all of Lincoln; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Glenn McGuire, his grandfather, Earnest Foudray, and his grandparents, Frank and Pearl McGuire.

Memorial Service was held at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1144 M Street, Lincoln, Neb. on October 27, 2010 at 2 p.m.
